Microsoft have recently revealed that the next release wave of updates for Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform will have general availability from the start of October.
The full plans for the Wave 2 update will be released on July 8th via Microsoft’s product updates page. These plans will showcase the blueprint of new features that will be released between October 2020 to March 2021. Furthermore, it is to be expected that Microsoft will provide more details after these plans have been released.
Microsoft have also stated that an early access preview will be accessible from August 3rd. This will provide an opportunity for system admins to test drive the new features and functionality from within a sandbox environment before these updates are automatically applied to the products.
Following on from this, the latest round of updates will have general availability from October 1st with more regional deployments launching from October 2nd.
Whilst the latest round of updates are being developed, Microsoft also took the opportunity to state that 70% of its Wave 1 update has now been rolled out. As well as this, the outstanding features from Wave 1 will be rolled out in September to coincide with release plans.
